What a fabulous night we had celebrating the marriage of Maria & Chris in the gorgeous ballroom of The Westin Columbus. These two love birds had so many unique and special touches to add to their reception, and the guests loved them all!
Night Music loved working with artist Liz Lindstrom, who traveled from Chattanooga to capture the reception by making a beautiful painting during the evening. Guests loved watching the painting progress, and we know Liz delivered a delightful keepsake. Check out her website. http://lizlindstrom.com/
Of course, The Westin always provides the finest in food and service. And, Maria and Chris made sure no one went hungry late into the party, because treats in the form of a Graeter’s Ice Cream bar and late night Sliders and Tator Tots kept the dancers fueled and happy.
Check out this video, and you’ll get a small hint of this wonderful celebration.

Love and Happiness!
We admit it. We absolutely love newlyweds Patricia and Nick, and their families! Every single moment of their wedding day was filled with love, happiness, and SO MANY delightful details to surprise and treat their guests. Night Music proved DJ and MC, along with some gorgeous blush uplights to perfectly light the room. Fizzy Cat Photobooth was such a fun and popular reception activity, and the guests loved the 4 X 6 photos to take home.
Take a peek at a couple of the photobooth images of the gorgeous bride and groom with their family and friends, and you can imagine just how great this night was!
Big shout out and thanks to the other members of the Patricia and Nick wedding dream team. What a great group of amazing professionals. Click to visit the websites.

We jump for joy when a happy couple comes to us with a clear vision of music and fun for their wedding celebration, and trust us to help make it all happen. It was obvious from the start that these two were madly in love, and we knew that their reception was going to be a blast!
Enjoy this short video sample of the fun dance party, and you’ll wish you were there! Keep watching for the surprise “BIG HEADS” that were the hit of the reception, about 40 seconds in.
Here are some of the event and musical details of their awesome celebration:
Cocktail and Dinner Music ~ Classic late 90s early 2000s from their HS/College days, along with a few classics from the 60s. (DJ note – the guests LOVED it!)
Grand Entrance ~ Because the wedding was earlier in the day, Erin & Jim were there to greet and mingle with their guests during cocktail hour, and then led the guests into dinner, passing on the grand entrance announcement. Perfect for them!
Father/Daughter Dance ~ God Only Knows Beach Boys
Erin & Jim’s First Dance ~ A short custom mix that DJ Steve prepared for them
Dance Party ~ Fun and upbeat mix of current, throwback and classics.
Last Song ~ Closing Time Semi Sonic
Thanks to our friends at Dock 580, and congratulations to Erin & Jim!
Ellen & David are the best AND the coolest. That’s all there is to it. We truly loved being around them, and had such a great time with their fun friends and family who came to dance and party!
By arranging a “First-Look” photo session downtown with Sean Gillilan, their photographer, Ellen and David were able to attend and enjoy the cocktail hour with their guests. This was a perfect time to set the mood for a fun night by dropping in some of their favorite tunes. Click the title to hear the song.

Night Music loves cycling almost as much as DJ-ing and weddings!
When the UCI Road World Championships* were announced to be held in the USA for the first time since 1986, and in nearby Richmond Virginia, we were super excited and blocked out a prime wedding weekend just to be there in person. This race was an incredible experience, which we highly recommend you experience for yourself someday.
We were there to witness the fan favorite, Peter Sagan from Slovakia, win it all. So imagine our delight when we saw pictures from his over-the-top and absolutely fabulous wedding to his gorgeous hometown sweetheart. We wish we could’ve been there to help the newlyweds celebrate, but they probably didn’t realize we’d be available for the long travel! Check out the short video featuring Peter participating in the European wedding tradition of “Sawing The Log”.
*Trust us. This is a big deal. The UCI World Championships are like an annual Olympics for cycling, with the same superstars who race in the Tour de France competing for their own country. The winner gets to compete in a coveted rainbow jersey for the next year.
Would Nirvana’s iconic record “Nevermind” have sounded as good without the baby on the cover?
The returning popularity of vinyl LPs have us thinking about some crazy good and memorable album cover art. And make no mistake … it is art!
The Columbus Museum of Art is hosting a brand new and locally curated exhibit entitled “Spin Art”, which opens on February 19th, and celebrates classic LP cover art. We can’t wait to visit and see the display of 90 different LP covers from bands including Funkadellic, David Bowie and Sonic Youth. Read more about the exhibit here: SPIN ART
The Night Music DJ staff decided we would each choose one of our favorite LP covers to share. Enjoy these, and let us know your favorites, too.
The Cat is Out of the Bag!
The long anticipated debut of Fizzy Cat Photobooth was at The Columbus Wedding Show, and my goodness, was she popular!
We knew that this modern, classy, and fun photo booth would be a hit, but we were still a little surprised by how much everyone loved her.
We invite you to like her on facebook (www.facebook.com/fizzycatphotobooth), check out the cool website (www.fizzycatphotobooth.com), and watch this short video that shows the awesome Fizzy Cat at work (and play) during the bridal show.
We simply can’t wait to bring Fizzy Cat Photobooth to your wedding or celebration. Call or email soon to reserve your date! And thanks everyone for welcoming Fizzy Cat with such enthusiasm. We are thrilled.
