The Beatles! Backstage & Behind the Scenes

Just in time to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Beatles first visit to the United States, Capital University’s Schumacher Gallery has pulled a photographic coup.

The Beatles! Backstage and Behind the Scenes documents the start of BEATLEMANIA with a collection of photographs by Life Magazine’s Bill Eppridge. Just imagine a collection of 84 never before published images showing Paul, John, George and Ringo hard at work and play.  We especially loved the images from the rehearsal sessions at the Deauville Hotel in Miami Beach before the second live appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show.

Because classic Beatles songs continue to be fun and popular at so many parties, it was a blast to get the opportunity to take a look at the energy behind the magic through these candid photos.

This unique show runs through March 22, so you have plenty of time to take a look … and did we mention that it’s FREE?

Visit the Schumacher Gallery on the 4th floor of Capital University’s Blackmore Library. The library faces Main St. across right from the Drexel Theater in Bexley.   Helpful Hint: Park for free on Main St. directly in front of the library. Visit the website here.
