Scioto Reserve Country Club. We were thrilled to be part of Leslie and Tom’s wedding celebration this past weekend at Scioto Reserve Country Club, located just north of Columbus in Powell, Ohio. Not only is Scioto Reserve gorgeous, but the food and service are truly exceptional. Also, working with the delightful Ann Marie Orren and the Scioto Reserve staff is the best, because we know all the details will be taken care of, and everything will run perfectly.
Leslie and Tom wanted to highlight the warm and inviting look of the ballroom, so they choose our Night Music uplighting option to add splashes of color throughout the venue. Scioto Reserve has such a modern and sophisticated feel that includes an inviting bar area, and a beautiful outdoor wedding garden. (And we don’t know anywhere else in town with an such awesome groomsman’s lounge complete with a pool table.)
This was a party that no one wanted to end, that’s for sure. Thanks Leslie and Tom, and congratulations! Thanks to Lindsay at Photography by L for the dancing photo above.

Columbus DJs love Pharrell! It seems like Pharrell Williams was everywhere on our dance floor this year. Get Lucky and Blurred Lines, and now the Oscar nominated Happy … Columbus DJs current fave! Just imagine being a part of all of that by rocking the one and only giant hat that Pharrell wore at the Grammy Awards (and wears in the Happy video). Someone is going to own this – why not you?
And we are psyched to listen to his new CD, being released March 3 “G I R L”. What do you think the best tracks will be?
Pharrell Williams and his $15,000 hat.
Check it out on ebay and make your bid today. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pharrell-Williams-Vivienne-Westwood-Mountain-Hat-worn-at-the-2014-GRAMMYs-/181329060057

Short North Public Art – A Fun Tour
Touring the Short North public art is a blast! Just imagine this for a fun date, engagement or wedding picture locations, or as an unforgettable “to-do” suggestion for your visiting friends and family.
We all know that Columbus is cool, and the Short North is one of the reasons why. We can’t wait to check out all of the new public mural art featured on 11 brick facades along High Street in the Short North Arts District.
Here’s more info for you to share and save: This link at tells all about the initiative, the art, and artists.
Last year, one of our favorites was Summer Spray. During it’s 11-week run, a 1,300-square-foot mural was created outdoors on West Goodale Street, between High Street and Park Street, by 10 local artist over a six-week period. The artists also showcased their work in an exhibition space for 10 weeks in the Short North Arts District. Click here to read about the participating artists and view the live mural-making.
Our new favorite is Pride Circles by Lisa McLymont.
It’s located at Stonewall Columbus, 1160 N High St.
A first-of-its-kind public art installation now has a home in the Short North Arts District. “Pride Circles” by local artist Lisa McLymont is the first ever permanent public art installation to be installed in the public right-of-way in the City of Columbus on a sidewalk where the public is invited to traverse the art as they pass.
