We were thrilled to be part of Leslie and Tom’s wedding celebration this past weekend at Scioto Reserve Country Club, located just north of Columbus in Powell, Ohio. Not only is Scioto Reserve gorgeous, but the food and service are truly exceptional. Also, working with the delightful Ann Marie Orren and the Scioto Reserve staff is the best, because we know all the details will be taken care of, and everything will run perfectly.
Leslie and Tom wanted to highlight the warm and inviting look of the ballroom, so they choose our Night Music uplighting option to add splashes of color throughout the venue. Scioto Reserve has such a modern and sophisticated feel that includes an inviting bar area, and a beautiful outdoor wedding garden. (And we don’t know anywhere else in town with an such awesome groomsman’s lounge complete with a pool table.)
This was a party that no one wanted to end, that’s for sure. Thanks Leslie and Tom, and congratulations! Thanks to Lindsay at Photography by L for the dancing photo above. Check out her beautiful work here: www.PhotographyByL.com

The word is out, and one of the coolest places for a great celebration is no longer a secret! Our Lady of Victory in the Grandview Heights area of Columbus was the setting for Kate and Dave’s wedding ceremony and super-fun reception. Their guests had such a good time, and we loved being part of it.
Kate and Dave wanted everything to be perfect, and commissioned some of the best vendors in the city. Click the vendor name to go directly to their web site.

It seems like Pharrell Williams was everywhere on our dance floor this year. Get Lucky and Blurred Lines, and now the Oscar nominated Happy … our current fave! Just imagine being a part of all of that by rocking the one and only giant hat that Pharrell wore at the Grammy Awards (and wears in the Happy video). Someone is going to own this – why not you?

And we are psyched to listen to his new CD, being released March 3 “G I R L”. What do you think the best tracks will be?
Must See and Experience The Short North Temporary Mural Series “Viewpoints: Murals by Young Professional Working Artists”
We all know that Columbus is cool, and the Short North is one of the reasons why. We can’t wait to check out all of the new public mural art featured on 11 brick facades along High Street in the Short North Arts District.
Just imagine this for a fun date, engagement or wedding picture locations, or as an unforgettable “to-do” suggestion for your visiting friends and family.
Here’s more info for you to share and save: This link at ShortNorth.org tells all about the initiative, the art, and artists: http://www.shortnorth.org/PublicArt
First, Nicole & Jesse were bonafied, then their party was funkafied! Check out this dance party spotlight video of their winter wedding at COSI Columbus.
The couple made the most of the dynamic social spaces at COSI Columbus. They exchanged their vows in the Grand Atrium, enjoyed cocktails in City View, then hosted a beautiful dinner and dance in Gallery 2. Are you looking for a unique event venue for your celebration? Check out the events page at the COSI website: www.cosi.org/events or call Amber Waters at 614.228.2674 x2900
It was a super successful dance marathon as students from The Ohio State University raised over $767,000 to benefit the Hematology/Oncology Department of Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus. We were excited for Stephanie Ransom who was able to get her movie star friend, Kristen Bell (yes, THE Kristen Bell) to donate to the cause that was held at the university’s Ohio Union this past weekend.
Nationwide Children’s Hospital is part of the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and treats all children regardless of a family’s ability to pay. Although BuckeyeThon has ended this year, you can still donate to the cause here: https://donations.childrensmiraclenetworkhospitals.org/
Just in time to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Beatles first visit to the United States, Capital University’s Schumacher Gallery has pulled a photographic coup.
The Beatles! Backstage and Behind the Scenes documents the start of BEATLEMANIA with a collection of photographs by Life Magazine’s Bill Eppridge. Just imagine a collection of 84 never before published images showing Paul, John, George and Ringo hard at work and play. We especially loved the images from the rehearsal sessions at the Deauville Hotel in Miami Beach before the second live appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show.
Check out that cool terry cloth beach wear!
Because classic Beatles songs continue to be fun and popular at so many parties, it was a blast to get the opportunity to take a look at the energy behind the magic through these candid photos.
This unique show runs through March 22, so you have plenty of time to take a look … and did we mention that it’s FREE?
Visit the Schumacher Gallery on the 4th floor of Capital University’s Blackmore Library. The library faces Main St. across right from the Drexel Theater in Bexley. Helpful Hint: Park for free on Main St. directly in front of the library. Visit the website here.
Imagine arriving at (or being whisked away from) your wedding in such a happy yet urban style. Doesn’t this seem like a friendly and unexpected twist for you to enjoy, and your guests to remember? We sure think so, and we LOVE that this is a green option.
